Construction Project Internship - Summer 2027

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; onsite internship.

Rate of pay starts at $18.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Act as the owner's representative on small- to medium-scale construction and facilities projects.
• Participate in design meetings and review plans and project logistics.
• Coordinate work with construction contractors and communicate with design, construction, and management teams.
• Collaborate with facilities, security, and contract management departments in the real estate division.
• Support non-construction projects within the real estate division as needed.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in college and entering the junior or senior year.
• A construction management or civil engineering major is preferred.
• Demonstrate above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand commercial construction methods and be able to read and interpret floor plans.
• Be familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Procore or PlanGrid.
• Be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
