General Ledger Senior Accountant (SAP/US GAAP): Supporting General Ledger and Fixed Assets accounting, financial close, reconciliations, and reporting for global operations with an accent on U.S. GAAP, SAP, SOX controls, and process automation. Focus on analyzing accounting transactions, improving close processes, supporting audits, and applying digital and AI-enabled technologies to scale accounting operations.
Location: Warsaw, Poland; 70% in-office work model

What you will do
- Support General Ledger and Fixed Assets accounting, including prepaids, accruals, cash accounting, capitalization, CIP, transfers, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations, and SAP asset records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and analyses for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
- Review capital projects and fixed asset transactions for compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Maintain SOX control documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Analyze variances and accounting issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements.
- Drive standardization, automation, system implementations, and digital technology adoption across accounting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including General Ledger and/or Fixed Assets accounting in a complex global environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and financial close processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English is required.
- ERP and SAP experience, as well as strong Excel skills, are highly valued.
