Software Engineer, I (AI)

Location: Hybrid work, three days per week in the Holtsville, New York office; up to 15% travel required.

Salary: $68,400–$102,600 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 5% of base pay.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, develop, maintain, validate, and test software solutions related to artificial intelligence and Wireless LAN.
• Complete software engineering design projects across coding, debugging, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with team members to establish requirements for less complex design projects.
• Support software and hardware system integrations to ensure performance and program consistency.
• Analyze processes and systems, interpret results, and recommend software and system improvements.
• Create and maintain code, design specifications, test results, and user documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; an advanced relevant degree or equivalent work experience is acceptable.
• Relevant experience in software development or a related field.
• Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, algorithms, and software development frameworks.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile and Scrum.
• Quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in the Holtsville, New York office three days per week and travel up to 15%.

• Successful completion of a hirify.global internship.
• Understanding of Wireless LAN functionalities and features.
• Understanding of machine learning, model creation for edge computing, indoor location technologies, and PDR systems.
