Senior Director, Health Economics & Actuarial Analytics (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, USA

Base salary: $210,000–$245,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own clinical outcomes measurement across member populations, including weight loss, A1c, blood pressure, food insecurity, HEDIS, and other quality measures.
• Own the ROI methodology that translates clinical outcomes into economic value and identifies the populations hirify.global helps most.
• Present and defend methodology to payers, actuaries, consultants, and other technical external audiences.
• Develop scalable outcomes and ROI systems for new populations and client engagements.
• Shape value-based care strategy, including target populations and credible performance commitments.
• Partner with clinical teams and academic collaborators while leading a small team and remaining hands-on.

Requirements

• Background in health economics, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field applied to healthcare cost and value questions.
• Proven experience demonstrating ROI and value to payers in telehealth, digital health, payer, or consulting environments.
• Hands-on experience with clinical outcomes, HEDIS, chronic-condition measures, and medical and pharmacy claims data.
• Deep expertise in causal inference, matched cohorts, risk adjustment, and quasi-experimental methods.
• Experience defending ROI methodology to payers, actuaries, consultants, or similarly technical audiences, plus experience with value-based care arrangements.
• Ability to analyze data directly with SQL, R, or Python and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or actuarial credentials such as ASA, FSA, or MAAA.
• Peer-reviewed publication experience.
• Familiarity with AI-native tools such as Claude Code or equivalent.
