Sr. Director, Information Security (AI)

Location: Remote within eligible United States locations, subject to role and location restrictions.

Base salary: $220,000–$250,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise security operations, incident response readiness, threat intelligence, and resilience.
• Serve as the primary Incident Commander during high-impact security events and coordinate Legal, PR, Engineering, and executive stakeholders.
• Embed enterprise risk frameworks and security-by-design principles into consumer applications, AI/ML pipelines, and data architectures.
• Build and scale a multidisciplinary security organization across directors, managers, and engineers.
• Modernize security capabilities through AI/ML, automation, and cloud-native architectures.
• Act as the CISO’s primary delegate and translate security risks into business metrics for executive and board-level decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive information security leadership experience, including management through subordinate managers or directors.
• Experience leading security strategy in cloud-native environments using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Background in high-scale, consumer-facing technology organizations handling sensitive or regulated data.
• Demonstrated authority leading enterprise-critical incidents and coordinating legal, regulatory, and executive responses.
• Experience negotiating SLAs, driving vulnerability remediation, and aligning risk priorities across engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of global privacy, security, and compliance frameworks for sensitive and biometric data.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven threat detection, securing machine learning pipelines, and governing enterprise LLM adoption.
• Strong business planning, strategic review, headcount planning, and roadmap execution skills.
• Automation-first approach to architectural scalability and continuous process optimization.
