Location: San Mateo, California, United States; full-time summer work in the headquarters office

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development process, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and tuning.
• Design and create code powering personalized learning products.
• Collaborate independently and with a wide variety of engineering teams.
• Build technology that improves education and impacts millions of learners.

Requirements

• Be a third-year undergraduate student or pursuing an advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Have a solid grasp of general programming principles.
• Demonstrate strong programming skills in Java or another object-oriented language.
• Have strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Show the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Be available for full-time summer work in the San Mateo headquarters office.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and source control.
