Shipping Technician

Location: Mt Juliet, TN, United States; onsite work in a lab and office setting

Salary: $16.00 per hour

What you will do

• Pull and prioritize shipping orders based on project requirements and deadlines.
• Assemble sample kits and prepare packages according to shipping guidelines.
• Pack, label, and process sample shipments accurately and on time.
• Maintain, order, and stock shipping supplies.
• Clean sample coolers and keep the shipping area organized.
• Complete shipping logs, documents, databases, and related records while supporting staff and management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of shipping principles, practices, and techniques.
• Ability to use computer applications and systems, maintain records, and apply organizational procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and customers and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a laboratory and office environment, stand and sit for extended periods, and occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to work around chemicals, fumes, gases, noxious odors, and laboratory samples.

Nice to have

• Experience in related shipping work.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or office setting.
