Director, DEC Digital R&D Domain Lead (AI)

Location: Remote/Home-Based, Philadelphia, PA; US-based candidates only

Salary: $188,000–$282,000 annual base pay, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Translate R&D business priorities into digital product strategies, roadmaps, governance, and measurable outcomes.
• Oversee platforms supporting research, nonclinical development, clinical development, regulatory, safety, evidence generation, and medical affairs.
• Lead capability leaders responsible for product operations, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure platforms meet GxP requirements through validation support, audit readiness, issue remediation, and strong operational controls.
• Guide integration planning, data standards, platform lifecycle management, upgrades, and service improvements.
• Partner with data and AI leaders to enable analytics and AI capabilities across R&D products.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience delivering or managing R&D-related systems and products.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
• Experience owning R&D solutions across research, clinical development, regulatory, evidence generation, medical affairs, or related domains.
• Demonstrated accountability in GxP-regulated environments, including audit management, validation support, and governance.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and managing vendors and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related science, technology, or information systems field.
