Assistant Buyer Coordinator (Purchasing)

What you will do

• Assist buyers with purchasing activities, reports, and data management.
• Research, evaluate, and purchase products while confirming supplier quality and delivery capabilities.
• Place orders, prepare and verify purchase orders and related agreements, and review supplier acknowledgements.
• Monitor open purchase orders, resolve supplier discrepancies, and expedite orders to meet schedules.
• Coordinate with inventory management to verify deliveries and report back-ordered or missing products.
• Support sourcing strategies for small and disadvantaged business programs under company guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft applications expertise, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to sit for long periods, validate and enter computer data, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• At least one year of purchasing experience.
• Oracle experience.
