Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Base salary: $165,000–$195,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Own electrical design and integration across hardware programs from concept and prototyping through production readiness.
• Evaluate and integrate electrical components, sensors, CPU/GPU systems, compute modules, routers, and batteries across multiple product form factors.
• Define power requirements, design wire harness systems, and select batteries based on reliability, safety, and product constraints.
• Troubleshoot and debug systems at the system, PCB, and component levels, including support for thermal management and testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to resolve cross-functional design tradeoffs.
• Develop test plans, fixtures, validation activities, vendor coordination, and scalable product development practices.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of product development experience with independent ownership of electromechanical hardware programs from concept through production.
• Experience taking at least one hardware product from concept through production with minimal supervision.
• Experience across multiple product form factors or hardware programs.
• Experience with PCB design, including schematic capture, layout, fabrication and assembly oversight, board bring-up, and DVT.
• Experience designing electrical systems integrating compute modules, sensors, routers, and batteries.
• Familiarity with thermal design and management in compact, sealed enclosures.
• Hands-on prototyping experience and comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete requirements, aggressive milestones, and fast-paced early-stage programs.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to work independently, set direction, make decisions, and drive work to closure.
