Principal Electrical Engineer (Defense)

Location: Devens, Massachusetts, US; onsite engineering role

Salary: $115,000–$175,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead hands-on design, build, testing, and troubleshooting of mission-critical electronic systems.
• Work within and lead multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical, software, and controls engineers.
• Contribute directly to first-iteration design builds and troubleshooting.
• Oversee component life cycles from proposals and concept design through prototype builds and production implementation.
• Design and develop new features for existing products and troubleshoot component and system problems to root cause.
• Lead electrical design and testing to MIL-Spec requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field, with 7+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience building and testing systems.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering MIL-Specs and MIL-PRFs.
• Ability to support programs from proposal through production.
• Experience interfacing and collaborating with customers.
• Prior mentorship experience, especially in an engineering setting.
• Experience with CAD and analysis programs.
• Active DoD security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if required.
