Logistics Specialist I (Aerospace)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; office or hybrid work environment, with travel as needed.

Estimated starting salary: $19.95–$27.44 per hour.

What you will do

• Prepare and document logistics materials, including spares, tools, equipment, components, repair parts, and manuals.
• Coordinate and track material shipping and routing while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate logistics, equipment, and inventory records.
• Support the allocation and organization of storage facilities.
• Assist with import/export documentation and compliance.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; a relevant higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic knowledge of state, federal, and global logistics regulations.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government trade authorizations.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs, stand for most of the shift, and work in a loud environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with logistics software, inventory databases, shipping databases, or aviation maintenance tracking systems such as AvPro.
• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain principles, shelf life, or HazMat certification.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Background in aerospace, defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
