Software Engineer II - Enterprise Payments (Java)

What you will do

• Design, write, test, implement, and document solutions for assigned program modules.
• Collaborate with project teams and software engineers to provide technical support.
• Configure and support assigned applications and IT systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across application and system layers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience independently identifying program issues and developing solutions.
• Experience with Java and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Experience developing integrations, middleware, RESTful services, or APIs.
• Experience with Linux or IBM AIX, relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL, and application debugging.
• Strong written, verbal communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, Spring Boot, and APIs.
• Knowledge of OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or other event-driven and messaging frameworks.
