Planner - Contract Manufacturing

Location: Onsite in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, Malaysia; international travel required at 15–20%.

What you will do

• Plan demand and supply with external contract manufacturers, including weekly and monthly supply commitments.
• Monitor production schedules, expedite orders, track on-time delivery, and coordinate recovery plans for supply risks.
• Manage consignment inventory, including replenishment, usage tracking, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
• Act as the operational contact for contract manufacturers and conduct performance and risk reviews.
• Optimize inventory levels, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, engineering, quality, and customer operations, including coordination of Engineering Change Orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management, preferably in electronics or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems; Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics experience is an advantage.
• Direct experience working with contract manufacturers or outsourced production partners.
• Knowledge of consignment inventory processes and controls.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or supply chain optimization methodologies.
