Senior Software Engineer - ICM (Python/Django)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Salary: $154,500–$225,446 annually; compensation for candidates hired in Canada is provided in Canadian dollars and may differ from this range.

What you will do

• Build new services, features, and user experiences from initial prototypes through scalable production systems.
• Turn ambiguous problem spaces into clear technical and architectural approaches.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customers through discovery, solution sketching, experimentation, and feedback cycles.
• Develop POCs and technical spikes to validate ideas and shape product direction.
• Design scalable systems while balancing delivery speed, maintainability, reliability, performance, and customer experience.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, coding standards, best practices, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience shipping products in fast-moving environments.
• Experience building new products or exploratory, greenfield features.
• Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, define direction, and move initiatives forward independently.
• Full-stack development fluency or strong backend experience with strong product instincts.
• Hands-on experience with Python/Django, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of system design, APIs, performance, scalable architecture, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
