What you will do

• Develop knowledge of economic modeling best practices and techniques such as econometrics and forecasting.
• Assess data quality using primary sources and support quantitative and qualitative project work.
• Prepare data visualizations and presentation materials for clients.
• Research and write reports connecting quantitative and qualitative approaches.
• Build familiarity with database management, SQL, data cleaning, data wrangling, and data-driven decision-support tools.
• Collaborate with experienced economists and support project managers and staff while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or a related field.
• Background in statistics and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to participating actively in an employee-owned culture.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in economics or a related field.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, EViews, SPSS, Visual Basic, R, or Python.
• Experience with GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoDa, GeoPandas, or R sf.
