Legal Project Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Support partners and matter teams with client-facing updates, budget reports, timelines, action trackers, and portfolio insights.
• Develop and implement matter plans covering timelines, milestones, deliverables, scope, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Apply approved AI and generative AI tools to document review support, budget and reporting automation, matter summarization, and data extraction.
• Support the adoption of matter management and AI-enabled tools through onboarding, workflow design, and practical use-case assessment.
• Coordinate legal teams, clients, third-party vendors, resources, and workloads across London-led and cross-border matters.
• Track budgets, costs, resource utilization, performance metrics, risks, and post-matter improvements while collaborating with Finance, Business Development, and Technology.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of matter management experience within a law firm.
• Strong understanding of legal processes, fee structures, and client service expectations.
• Familiarity with AI tools and legal technology, with the ability to apply approved tools responsibly.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal, influencing, and resilience skills for high-pressure, high-stakes environments.
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies and tools such as MS Project or Asana.
