Program Management Director (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid work arrangement. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $231,600–$330,000 annually if located in Illinois, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end program management framework across the Data & AI organization.
• Standardize Agile practices, including Jira workflows, sprint planning, backlog management, and reporting.
• Build executive dashboards covering portfolio health, milestones, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Define and report on organizational OKRs, KPIs, and strategic priorities with Data & AI leadership.
• Run governance reviews, identify risks, remove blockers, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Program Managers while coordinating with Engineering, Product, UX, Data Governance, and IT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of program or project management experience, including 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
• Experience managing large cross-functional programs with 100+ person organizations or equivalent scope.
• Deep proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and roadmapping tools, including workflow configuration, reporting, and adoption.
• Experience scaling Agile delivery practices and building OKR/KPI accountability frameworks.
• Experience directly managing program management professionals, influencing senior leadership, and operating in a complex matrixed environment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a law firm, professional services, or similarly complex enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with AI, data engineering, or data governance.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones.
