Company

hirify.global provides engineering and advanced technology solutions for intelligence, national security, defense, space, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT, and cybersecurity programs.

What you will do

  • Analyze and define modem and RF subsystem architectures for satellite communications systems.
  • Evaluate modulation, coding, synchronization, detection, and multiple access techniques under operational link conditions.
  • Develop and review link budgets, spectral-efficiency analyses, waveform optimizations, and interference mitigation strategies.
  • Support SoC- and FPGA-based modem implementations, including hardware/software partitioning decisions.
  • Define system and interface requirements across RF, IF, baseband, and Layer 2 interfaces.
  • Support laboratory and field integration and testing while identifying technical risks and performance trade-offs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications system development.
  • Experience with modem, waveform, or RF subsystem design or integration and system-level testing.
  • Knowledge of RF engineering, digital communications theory, ModCod strategies, adaptive coding and modulation, multiple access schemes, link budgets, and system performance modeling.
  • Experience with MATLAB or equivalent modeling and simulation tools and the ability to translate analysis into system requirements.
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance required; applicants must have United States work authorization.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a communications, RF, or signal-processing concentration.
  • Experience with MILSATCOM systems such as WGS, AEHF, or MUOS, or with commercial SATCOM systems.
  • Experience with protected waveforms, secure modem architectures, or an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative environment focused on engineering innovation and national security impact.
  • 40 scheduled hours per week.
  • Benefits may include a 401(k) plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending, disability coverage, and paid time off.
  • Professional training, development, and career advancement opportunities.
