Senior Director, Medical Strategy and Operations (Biotech)

What you will do

• Lead initiatives that improve the strategic and operational effectiveness of the Medical Affairs organization.
• Design, implement, and optimize Medical Affairs systems, processes, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
• Establish operational metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
• Collect and integrate medical insights to guide strategy and improve medical program impact.
• Own the review and approval process for external-facing Medical Affairs content.
• Lead annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, headcount planning, vendor strategy, and external spend management.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of Medical Affairs leadership experience, including medical operations, systems, content, and insights.
• Advanced degree such as PhD, MD, MBA, PharmD, or similar.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change across complex medical operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead effectively without authority.
• Strong experience developing and managing Medical Affairs dashboards and qualitative outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external audiences.
