Assistant Professor Clinical Faculty, Neurology (Clinical Neurology)

Salary: $250,000–$275,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide outpatient and/or inpatient neurology care in a subspecialty or general neurology practice.
• Teach medical students in neurology clerkships, sub-internships, electives, and clinical case-based sessions.
• Teach and support residents and fellows across affiliated neurology residency programs.
• Conduct and foster clinical research, including investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies.
• Advise students and contribute to academic committees, review groups, and community service.
• Advance the educational, research, and clinical missions of CUSM Health Neurology.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with an active California medical license.
• Board certification or eligibility in neurology.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in healthcare.
• Strong communication, teaching, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate with diverse students and colleagues.

Nice to have

• Fellowship training and relevant subspecialty board certification or eligibility.
• Experience with LCME and ACGME accreditation processes.
• Experience in higher education, medical education, or a university environment.
• Familiarity with FERPA requirements.
