Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison, Cardiac Electrophysiology (MedTech)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; candidate should be based in close proximity to Texas and must have US work authorization. The role requires up to 60% domestic travel.

Base pay: $137,000–$235,750 per year.

What you will do

• Develop strategic engagement plans and build relationships with KOLs, surgeons, operating room staff, healthcare professionals, and medical societies.
• Provide scientific authority, clinical education, and technical guidance on cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac ablation, diagnostic platforms, and appendage closure.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Affairs, and Research & Development.
• Support clinical studies, investigator-initiated and collaborative research concepts, publication planning, and communication with clinicians and authors.
• Prepare presentations and educational materials for symposia, conferences, customers, Sales, and Marketing.
• Analyze customer, scientific, market, research, and pre-launch product information to provide field and medical insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; doctoral degree such as PhD, MD, or DO highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in the biotech or MedTech industry, with 5 or more years in Medical Affairs, Clinical Sciences, or as an MSL highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular medicine, preferably cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and clinical research methodologies.
• Experience establishing relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals, interpreting scientific data, and communicating complex concepts clearly.
• US work authorization is required.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel up to 60% domestically.
