TL;DR
Senior Medical Director, Medical Affairs, Neurology (Neurology/Myasthenia Gravis): Leading medical strategy, Phase 4 evidence generation, safety monitoring, and scientific communications for neurology products with an accent on Myasthenia Gravis, clinical data interpretation, and cross-functional medical affairs leadership. Focus on designing and analyzing interventional and observational research, developing evidence-generation plans, presenting medical content, and supporting patient-safety activities.

Location: Sleepy Hollow, New York; Warren, New Jersey; or Cambridge, Massachusetts. Frequent travel to Sleepy Hollow may be required for hires based in Warren or Cambridge. The role is performed onsite according to the position's location.

Salary: $333,300–$450,900 annually.

What you will do

  • Co-develop medical strategy and plan and execute Medical Affairs activities for Neurology and Myasthenia Gravis.
  • Provide medical leadership and scientific support in a cross-functional, matrix organization.
  • Lead data generation, analysis, and interpretation for Phase 4 interventional and observational studies.
  • Oversee medical content for post-marketing study reports, clinical data analyses, safety monitoring, and patient-safety activities.
  • Develop strategic medical, publication, communication, and integrated evidence-generation plans.
  • Present medical content at congresses, symposia, and advisory boards, and provide medical training to internal staff.

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent with board eligibility or certification in Neurology, plus at least 10 years of relevant experience and 5+ years in Pharma/Biotech Medical Affairs; or PhD/PharmD with at least 12 years of relevant experience and 8+ years in Pharma/Biotech Medical Affairs.
  • Deep scientific and medical knowledge of Neurology, Myasthenia Gravis, the treatment landscape, and clinical decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of Medical Affairs responsibilities, the Neurology and Myasthenia Gravis healthcare environment, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, matrix environment with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with Myasthenia Gravis or Neurology rare disease.
  • Prior product launch experience.
