Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Georgia; applicants must be located in the United States and authorized to work for any U.S. employer.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, test, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines and data workflows for high-volume analytics.
• Design data models and semantic layers for analytical self-service, reporting, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Optimize data pipelines and warehouse performance for speed, cost, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement data observability, governance, documentation, version control, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, DBAs, managers, and business stakeholders while providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Design AI-ready data products and support incident response and root-cause analysis for complex data issues.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in computing, data engineering, or a related discipline.
• Expertise in distributed data processing, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with modern data stack components, including cloud platforms, data warehouses, orchestration, transformation, observability, BI, and DevOps tools.
• Must be located in the United States, authorized to work for any U.S. employer, and not require employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing datasets and data structures for AI/ML use cases, including NLP-driven analytics.
• Experience with Glue or Dataflow.
