Lead Full Stack Developer (AI)

Location: Must reside in one of the following U.S. states: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 6–8 full stack developers and test automation engineers in an Agile environment.
• Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and enhance full-lifecycle applications.
• Provide technical direction for application architecture, integration, scalability, performance, flexibility, and security.
• Evaluate requirements and proposed features, identify risks, estimate development work, and validate technical solutions.
• Monitor production performance, optimize and scale solutions, and implement product and process improvements.
• Establish development, source control, release management, documentation, training, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience, including at least 3 years with the listed technologies and AWS.
• 5+ years of experience with Agile, DevSecOps, test-driven development, and lean methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, Node, GraphQL, REST APIs, Kafka or AWS Kinesis, AWS Lambda, SQL and NoSQL databases, and AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and Redshift.
• Experience with JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native development, application architecture, database queries, and preferably MySQL.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance and authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience in a government contracting environment with DoD and non-DoD customers.
• Experience with AI models, agentic development, RAG concepts, and AI tools such as Copilot or AWS Bedrock.
