Shipping Department Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite shipping and distribution operations; willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary: $105,100–$147,100 annually, with annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop shipping associates and Team Leaders while building accountability, engagement, and a strong safety culture.
• Oversee on-time, in-full shipment of high-quality baked goods in accordance with SOPs and Operations Excellence standards.
• Drive business transformation, process improvement, problem solving, and operational performance across the shipping dock and customer processes.
• Analyze reports and statistical data to improve KPIs for people, quality, safety, service, and cost.
• Manage operational and capital budgets and oversee the financial health of the shipping and distribution department.
• Process payroll for shipping employees using the Kronos system and collaborate with bakery, business unit, sales, and cross-functional leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of distribution or manufacturing management experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ability to lead teams, set data-based priorities, solve operational problems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of DOT, federal, and state regulations is beneficial.
