Salary: $62,000–$93,600 annually for Loan Accountant I or $69,400–$104,100 annually for Loan Accountant II, plus an annual performance-based incentive target of 8% of base salary.

What you will do

  • Perform accounting functions for loans and leases across origination, servicing, monetary processing, tax reporting, and collection.
  • Advise business units and branch personnel on structuring complex loans and related financial products within the accounting system.
  • Review loan documents and credit agreements for accuracy and consistency with loan accounting and general ledger systems.
  • Reconcile daily loan-to-general-ledger outages and clearing accounts, research discrepancies, and process accounting entries.
  • Monitor daily and monthly reports and independently verify loan terms and key data against accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare work papers, update procedures and internal-control documentation, train colleagues, and participate in cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in general business, accounting, finance, or a similar office-based role.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles and a general understanding of credit-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, loan accounting systems, and general ledger systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, accuracy, and time-management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to complete an initial in-office training period in Rocklin, California.
