NPI Buyer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Johor, Malaysia; onsite role. Occasional night and early morning meetings with the US team may be required.

What you will do

• Create and manage purchase orders and requests for quotes, including technical documentation, pricing, delivery dates, and milestones.
• Convert MRP demand signals into planned orders and confirming purchase orders using approved inventory planning rules.
• Develop and maintain PFEP by reviewing engineering and pre-production BOMs and coordinating required actions.
• Drive component readiness for engineering builds, prototypes, DV/PV builds, pilot production, and product launches.
• Expedite critical materials, coordinate recovery actions, and optimize inventory levels and MRP parameters.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Commodity Management, Supplier Quality, and suppliers on sourcing, quality, delivery, cost, ECOs, SIARs, and NPI deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory planning, and procurement processes.
• Ability to review engineering BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams across global regions and time zones, while managing multiple priorities independently.

• Experience supporting New Product Introduction, engineering builds, or product development programs.
