VMI Technician (Industrial Products)

Location: Peru, Illinois, United States; regular visits to hirify.global and customer sites with moderate to frequent local travel covering 75% of work time.

Salary: $25–$25 per hour

hirify.global supplies industrial, medical, and specialty gases, safety products, ammonia products, and process chemicals across the United States.

What you will do

• Deliver and replenish industrial products, gases, consumables, safety products, and vending or storeroom items.
• Review stock levels, manage replenishment, and maintain branch inventory records.
• Process supply chain orders in SAP and support customer quotes, agreements, and onboarding.
• Maintain schedules, minimum/maximum stock sheets, delivery tickets, consignment records, and customer reports.
• Act as the primary contact for vending machine issues, repairs, installations, employee data, and part-number updates in Cribmaster or Supply Pro.
• Coordinate with suppliers, VMI Technicians, Vending Technicians, customers, and the Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid United States driver's license required.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic and strong problem-solving, planning, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift, use computers and telephones, drive a motor vehicle, and work independently under pressure.
• Ability to detect leaking gas cylinders, inspect equipment, climb and descend, and move up to 60 pounds or transport up to 125 pounds with material-handling equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, travel locally, and visit customer sites in varying seasonal, noisy, odorous, and physically demanding environments.

Nice to have

• At least two years of experience in product distribution or inventory management.
• Experience with welding, safety, or related industrial products.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, welding technology, or sales.
