Materials Handler (Logistics)

Location: Broussard, Louisiana, United States; onsite warehouse and logistics work

Salary: $19.23–$30.29 per hour; $23.80–$35.82 per hour for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Receive, allocate, move, put away, and pick materials across onsite and offsite warehouse locations.
• Fill customer orders and coordinate domestic deliveries with freight forwarders.
• Maintain inventory records, fixed asset registers, and asset tracking documentation.
• Operate forklifts safely and inspect equipment for required maintenance.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors, internal departments, and external customers throughout the logistics process.
• Collect and analyze inventory and logistics data to support supply-chain improvements.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• At least 2 years of experience managing inventory, materials, or stockroom activities.
• Experience arranging logistical movements and knowledge of forklift operation and safety requirements.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb regularly and push or pull cargo weighing at least 75 lb.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, accuracy, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass and maintain all DISA program requirements, including drug and alcohol testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP B1 or a comparable ERP inventory-management tool.
• Strong Excel skills.
