Supervisor, Behavioral Health Utilization Management

Location: Remote, applicants must reside in North Carolina. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a rotating weekend on-call schedule.

Salary: $75,300–$135,400 per year

What you will do

• Supervise behavioral health utilization review clinicians and oversee daily team activities.
• Monitor compliance with applicable guidelines and track resources against performance, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Resolve complex behavioral health care issues and serve as the primary contact for escalated calls and cases.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement utilization management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Identify process and quality improvement opportunities and support change initiatives.
• Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Applicants must reside in North Carolina.
• One of the following licenses or certifications is required: NC LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, RN with state or compact-state licensure, or BCBA for ABA.
• Independent practice licensure or the applicable state-required licensure is required.
• Knowledge of behavioral health utilization management principles and medical necessity criteria is preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
