Senior Manager, Data Privacy

What you will do

• Advise business stakeholders globally on compliant and commercially practical personal data use.
• Draft and negotiate data-sharing agreements, vendor data protection provisions, and related privacy and IP agreements.
• Conduct and document Privacy Impact Assessments and Transfer Impact Assessments.
• Support product and engineering teams with the global implementation of internal tools and advise on approved third-party services.
• Support M&A privacy due diligence, incident response, litigation, data imports and exports, and post-acquisition integration.
• Advise live entertainment, label marketing, CRM, People Experience, and international marketing teams on privacy, consent, data rights, deletion, and promotional compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of post-qualification experience, preferably in data privacy.
• Experience handling Data Subject Access Requests and preparing Privacy Impact Assessments.
• Experience drafting and negotiating data processing agreements.
• Experience implementing and maintaining privacy operations, including ROPAs, privacy inventories, and automated processes.
• Experience advising digital marketing teams and knowledge of data privacy law developments across the EU/UK, US, APAC, and LatAm.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and judgment skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across Sony Group and Sony Music divisions.

Nice to have

• IAPP certifications, including Cyber and AI certifications.
• Incident response experience.
• Entertainment or media industry experience.
• Knowledge of AI and marketing legislation.
• PowerPoint skills.
