Senior Analyst, Carlyle AlpInvest Fund Accounting Processes (Fund Accounting)

Location: Washington, DC; in-office 4 days per week

Base salary: $110,000–$120,000 annually, plus potential discretionary incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Support fund accounting systems, quarterly reporting workflows, investor capital account statements, and capital calls and distributions for AlpInvest funds.
• Triage support requests from AlpInvest’s European teams, communicate timelines and resolutions, and maintain visibility into open items.
• Act as a business and technology liaison between Fund Accounting, Global Technology Services, AlpInvest users, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage and enhance Investran and Appian BPM applications while identifying and escalating production risks and dependencies.
• Drive finance process improvements, automation, modernization, documentation, training, and change-management initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with production or operational support in a finance environment, fund accounting, finance operations, or related process improvement.
• Accounting systems experience; Investran experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting agile development teams, writing structured requirements, functional specifications, or process documentation.
• Understanding of fund accounting principles, investor reporting, and financial close processes.
• Strong planning, risk awareness, prioritization, and written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Background in private equity, fund-of-funds, or multi-manager alternative investment operations.
• Familiarity with Appian BPM, Salesforce, PeopleSoft Financials, Jira, or similar agile project management tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
