Scientific Director (Oncology)

Location: United States; remote role. Travel to meetings, events, and video production is expected for approximately 3–5 days per month.

Compensation: $130,000–$140,000 per year, depending on qualifications, with eligibility for an annual bonus program or commission incentive.

What you will do

• Identify client needs and develop strategic recommendations for accurate scientific content across digital, video, and live or virtual meeting deliverables.
• Analyze clinical literature, practice guidelines, and disease-state information to develop oncology education materials.
• Prepare and revise project materials for pharmaceutical promotional review and compliance processes.
• Lead projects from conception through delivery while collaborating with clients, promotional review teams, key opinion leaders, medical writers, editors, project managers, and designers.
• Attend conferences, advisory boards, and other live events; capture highlights, develop presentation materials, and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Support business development and project management activities, including statements of work, timelines, and budgets.

Requirements

• Clinical degree such as PharmD, DO, or MD, or an advanced healthcare-related degree such as MS or PhD in life sciences or biomedical sciences.
• At least 3 years of experience at an agency or medical communications company working on promotional video, event, or digital deliverables.
• Strong oncology account experience and management experience.
• Superior verbal and written communication, medical writing, editing, problem-solving, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to travel 3–5 days per month on average for meetings, events, and video production.
