TL;DR
Group Leader - Paint (Manufacturing): Overseeing daily paint department operations and hands-on production work with an accent on workflow coordination, employee coaching, process improvement, and quality and safety compliance. Location: Kansas City, Missouri, United States; in-person and on-site attendance required

What you will do
- Support the Supervisor in overseeing daily paint department operations and production workflow.
- Perform key departmental tasks and apply knowledge of equipment, tools, standards, and processes.
- Assign tasks, guide team members, provide coaching, and mentor new employees.
- Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production schedules and coordinate materials as needed.
- Assist with inspections and ensure product quality before final release.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and enforce production, safety, quality, and 6S standards.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when required by production demands.
- Regular and reliable in-person attendance at the on-site manufacturing location is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull loads, bend, kneel, climb, and use tools and equipment safely.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment and maintain the visual and auditory acuity needed for safe equipment operation.
Nice to have
- Previous leadership experience.
- Associate degree or trade certificate related to the job function.
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office.
