Junior Digital Design Engineer - MCU

Location: Catania, Italy; onsite

Salary: €31,200–€43,000 gross annually

What you will do

• Develop digital sub-circuits for complex MCU-based System-on-Chips using Verilog and SystemVerilog RTL.
• Perform synthesis, static timing analysis, formal verification, power analysis, and design-for-testability implementation.
• Collaborate with analog, mixed-signal, and software teams to define interfaces and optimize system performance.
• Verify designs through simulation, formal verification techniques, and hardware emulation.
• Participate in post-silicon validation and debugging to identify and resolve product issues.
• Create design specifications, test plans, design reviews, and other technical documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design and verification.
• Familiarity with EDA tools for RTL coding, synthesis, static timing analysis, and formal verification.
• Understanding of digital design principles, clock domain crossing issues, power integrity, and low-power design techniques.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or Tcl for automation and design-flow optimization.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, initiative, and ability to lead technical discussions.
