Associate Attorney

Location: New York City, NY, US; must live within reasonable commuting distance and appear in person throughout all five boroughs

Salary: $100,000–$200,000 annual

What you will do

• Appear in Housing Court and other courts throughout all five boroughs of New York City.
• Handle landlord-tenant and housing litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, affirmations, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage deadlines independently, negotiate settlements, and advocate for clients.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing.
• At least three years of landlord-tenant or housing litigation experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Sound judgment, excellent organization, and effective case-management skills.
• Must be available for full-time employment, begin promptly, and appear in person in all five boroughs.
• Must live within reasonable commuting distance of New York City.
