Oliver Wyman Actuarial – Annuities Manager/Senior Manager – Life (Annuities)

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Hartford, New York City, or Seattle; at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

Base salary: $100,000–$195,000 per year, plus performance-based incentives and year-end bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead complex annuity analyses covering product development, rate setting, assumption benchmarking, hedging, and valuation.
• Manage ongoing client communication and deliver high-quality consulting outcomes.
• Review technical work for accuracy and integrity, including work produced by junior staff.
• Prepare executive-level management reports and present findings to senior leaders, clients, and executives.
• Conduct market research, identify industry trends and opportunities, and build an industry network.
• Support knowledge sharing and develop junior staff’s annuity expertise and consulting capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with annuity products, including pricing, product development, or inforce management.
• Strong knowledge of the annuity market, product management, product development trends, key players, and regulatory changes.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple workstreams from analysis through delivery with minimal oversight.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or professional certification such as ASA, FSA, or MAAA.
• Experience with Moody’s AXIS, FIS Insurance Risk Suite, R, or Python.
