Director/Vice President, Artist & Label Partnerships - AWAL

Location: United States, California, Los Angeles

Annual base salary: $115,000–$160,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop and own AWAL's acquisition strategy.
• Build global relationships with managers, business managers, lawyers, and rightsholders to source new opportunities.
• Lead prospecting, including cold outreach beyond the existing network.
• Manage investment and acquisition processes, including due diligence, negotiations, valuation models, investment presentations, and approval memos.
• Collaborate with local AWAL and Sony teams globally to assess, negotiate, and close deals.
• Guide post-close catalog onboarding, evaluate deal performance, and improve processes.

Requirements

• Established executive experience in the music business.
• Director level: 5+ years managing the full deal lifecycle from sourcing through close and onboarding.
• Vice President level: 8+ years managing the full deal lifecycle from sourcing through close and onboarding.
• Extensive relationships with music managers, business managers, lawyers, and rightsholders.
• Strong interpersonal, networking, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, technology fluency, and the ability to identify industry trends and investment opportunities.
