Mechanical Project Engineer

What you will do

• Manage capital projects according to the organization’s project management policy.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and construction activities with emphasis on safety.
• Support project prioritization, site obsolescence planning, and sustainability planning.
• Improve production capacity through automation and robotics while understanding manufacturing processes.
• Design and interpret utility systems including natural gas, thermal fluid, cooling water, compressed air, HVAC, and electrical power.
• Prepare or coordinate construction specifications, drawings, procurement activities, and project management policy improvements.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; nonwovens experience is preferred.
• 3–5 years of capital project management or project participation experience.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred; other disciplines may be accepted based on work experience.
• Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD, drawing standards, and technical writing.
• Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project or MS Planner.
• Experience with procurement processes, including RFPs, orders, and contracts.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility and manufacturing control systems.
• Experience in nonwovens manufacturing.
