Senior Analyst-Investment Performance & Risk (Finance)

Location: Hybrid in Boston, Massachusetts, United States; requires 3 days per week in the Boston office.

Annual salary: $110,000–$140,000, depending on location and relevant experience.

What you will do

• Create custom analyses and reporting for clients, business stakeholders, and investment teams.
• Analyze large datasets across funds, portfolios, reporting periods, holdings, and asset-level information.
• Execute performance measurement and attribution analysis across multiple asset classes.
• Deliver fund-level performance and risk analytics and explain outcomes to portfolio managers.
• Maintain automated templates, recurring reports, and reporting solutions.
• Investigate data quality and performance issues while supporting process automation and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in investment risk, performance analytics, or asset management.
• Knowledge of performance attribution methodologies, including Brinson and factor-based approaches.
• Knowledge of risk metrics including tracking error, correlation, beta, and duration.
• Experience with multiple asset classes and complex financial instruments.
• Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and databases, along with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and data-accuracy skills.
