Intern Credit Ag Lending

Location: Hybrid, with up to 50% work from home; internship based at the Bloomington, Edwards, or Monmouth, Illinois offices. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $19–$20 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Learn and apply Compeer’s credit delivery process.
• Perform financial analysis and support underwriting of loan requests.
• Assist with loan servicing and other credit services for clients.
• Work independently with general supervision and take initiative in completing assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate with credit leaders, internal teams, and other organizational functions to exchange and verify information.
• Provide an additional level of client service and maintain a professional image in external interactions.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business, agricultural economics, or business administration, with at least two years completed.
• Demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, analytical, verbal, written communication, and influencing skills.
• Have client service and effective teamwork skills.
• Be able to use business and financial computer applications.
• Understand credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, and credit analysis procedures.
• Be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of farm production methods and products.
• General understanding of farm business management and finance.
• CPT or pre-completion OPT eligibility.
