Intern New Markets (Finance)

Location: Hybrid internship based in the Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin; or Naperville, Illinois offices, with up to 50% work from home. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $19–$20 USD per hour. This is a paid internship; housing and transportation are the intern’s responsibility.

What you will do

• Support lending and product development programs for New Markets.
• Assist with program projects, including the GroundBreakers program for young, beginning, and small farmers.
• Research programs and practices at Farm Credit associations and financial institutions.
• Review USDA, FSA, and other federal program reports, summarize criteria, and assess Compeer’s use of those programs.
• Analyze the FCA Young, Beginning, and Small Farmers Annual Report against Compeer results.

Requirements

• Working toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in agricultural business, business administration, finance, economics, or data science.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
