Aftermarket Sourcing Category Specialist

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; primarily performed in a professional office environment. Travel of 10–20% is required.

Salary: $73,200–$117,800 per year across U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, productivity, and supplier relationship strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure sourced materials meet business requirements.
• Analyze category data, supplier markets, procurement systems, and logistical arrangements to identify improvements and cost savings.
• Lead or support commercial negotiations, including long-term agreements and supplier pricing.
• Identify supply-chain risks, communicate them, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Use project management and influencing skills to coordinate sourcing programs from concept through launch.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in supply chain management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of suppliers, supply markets, category pricing, and total cost of ownership models.
• Ability to apply data analytics and critical thinking to business and category decisions.
• Ability to review engineering technical drawings and understand taxonomy and technical grammar.
• Ability to travel 10–20%.
