Summer 2027 Insurance Internship

Location: Office-based positions in Columbus, Ohio or North Carolina; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

What you will do

• Collaborate with a manager and support organization and department initiatives.
• Contribute to projects involving policy and coverage analysis, market research, client presentations, and process improvement.
• Prepare operational reports and data-driven recommendations to improve the client experience.
• Gain exposure to commercial and personal insurance solutions, risk management, client relationship management, operations, and business development.
• Work independently and with a team while participating in internship events, volunteer activities, and professional development sessions.

Requirements

• High school graduate and currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate university program, with at least one academic term remaining after the summer program.
• Teamwork and leadership demonstrated through extracurricular activities or work experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration or work-permission sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Studies or coursework in risk management and insurance, finance, accounting, business administration, economics, actuarial science, business analytics, data analytics, management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Knowledge of risk management, insurance principles, corporate finance, accounting, economics, statistics, data analysis, sales and relationship management, business communication, strategic management, organizational behavior, or marketing.
• Interest in banking, insurance, risk management, client service, financial services, or business development.
• Curiosity, analytical thinking, sound judgment, professional composure, and a relationship-oriented approach.
