QC Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite

Salary: 300,000–350,000 CNY per year

What you will do

• Lead daily implementation and continuous improvement of the laboratory Safety/5S+S program.
• Manage, coach, and develop the laboratory team through performance management, engagement, and capability building.
• Control the quality of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely batch release.
• Standardize and improve laboratory processes, testing efficiency, data integrity, and resource utilization.
• Manage laboratory facilities, equipment calibration, procurement of new equipment, and testing method specifications.
• Support root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, new material and product validation, and new process introduction in collaboration with R&D and process departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of quality control or laboratory management experience in chemical, lubricant, specialty materials, or manufacturing industries, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 requirements and quality core tools, including PPAP and MSA.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools.
• Strong hands-on experience, troubleshooting skills, responsibility, and a positive working attitude.
