Assistant Branch Manager

Location: Fully onsite in Reedsport, Oregon, at 1975 Winchester Avenue, 1st Floor

Salary: $20.00–$26.00 per hour, with potential performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Partner with the Branch Manager to achieve branch and Bank goals and maintain day-to-day operational excellence.
• Supervise, lead, train, and coach Tellers, and potentially oversee personal bankers.
• Process transactions, open accounts, receive loan requests, gather credit information, and place clients in suitable account and loan products.
• Build long-term relationships with consumers and businesses, cross-sell bank services, and provide proactive solutions.
• Monitor sales and service goals, coach employees on deepening customer relationships, and ensure satisfactory audits.
• Handle branch opening and closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, and branch controls.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of retail banking experience required.
• Customer service experience in retail or banking, with demonstrated ability to grow sales through relationship-based solutions.
• Strong leadership, communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and problem-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, banking systems, related software, and office equipment; ability to perform repetitive cash-handling and document-processing tasks.
• Must register and comply with SAFE Act requirements as a Bank MLO; the role is limited to open-end transactions such as home equity lines of credit and is not authorized for closed-end MLO activities.

Nice to have

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s, vocational, or technical degree in banking, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• One year of management or supervisory experience.
• One year of consumer and small-business lending origination experience.
