Production & Process Manager

Location: Tavernerio (CO), Italy. Availability to travel may be required.

hirify.global operates the manufacturing plant where this role leads production and process engineering activities.

What you will do

• Lead Process Engineering and Production teams, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient plant operations.
• Optimize converting processes, improve yield and machine reliability, and reduce scrap, downtime, and production losses.
• Define and standardize critical process parameters, operating standards, process flows, machine parameters, and control plans.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, SMED, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate Production Supervisors and shopfloor teams across shifts, including manpower allocation, shift handovers, troubleshooting, and escalation management.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Plant Management on process capability, product industrialization, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in process engineering, quality management, or continuous improvement within manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience managing non-conformities, customer complaints, and supplier quality issues.
• Strong ability to analyze production and quality data and translate findings into corrective and preventive actions.
• Practical experience working with production teams in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
• Structured, pragmatic, data-driven problem-solving approach with clear communication and strong ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience in paper, paper converting, or other continuous-process industries with high technical variability.
