Scientist 1 - Environmental Microbiology

Location: Onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compensation: $16.66 per hour

What you will do

• Analyze environmental samples for mold and other fungal structures using microscopic examination.
• Examine air samples, tape lifts, swabs, bulk matrices, and other environmental materials.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and analytical results accurately.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or another science-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work around strong odors, chemicals, fumes, and gases.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.
