Portfolio Analyst, Fixed Income

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $90,000–$130,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and skills; discretionary bonus may apply.

What you will do

• Analyze investment-grade debt portfolios, including market conditions, competitor positioning, asset class characteristics, portfolio construction, benchmarks, and peers.
• Use AI-enabled analytics and automation to aggregate data, perform recurring analysis, identify comparisons, and generate initial analytical outputs.
• Refine, validate, and quality-control analytical outputs and investment messaging for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with approved materials.
• Build portfolio and investment-strategy knowledge through ongoing analysis, investment materials, and collaboration with portfolio managers, specialists, and senior analysts.
• Support responses to client, consultant, and internal inquiries, as well as presentations, exhibits, quarterly strategy updates, RFPs, and written commentaries.
• Contribute to education, onboarding, and training related to investment strategies, markets, and asset classes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fixed-income investment experience and progress toward or completion of the CFA and/or a master’s degree are preferred.
• Comfort with AI-enabled tools, automation, and analytics for efficient and responsible analytical and content-related work is preferred.
• FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
